Fusion knows that clients expect certainty when it comes to performance. We take the responsibility of ensuring exceptional performance when it comes to fire, health and safety, thermal and structural efficiency very seriously.
Our ethos is that people matter – and the health and safety of our management, employees and sub-contractors is a top priority for Fusion. We ensure all activities are as safe as reasonably practicable and all parties are required to co-operate fully and support the company’s health and safety policies and procedures, overseen and championed by our management team.
We aim to build and maintain a workplace environment and culture that supports health and wellbeing, preventing discrimination (including mental health discrimination, bullying, and harassment) and fostering inclusion and diversity.
Fusion conduct regular reviews of our training provision to ensure staff are competent to carry out their roles without risk and have the skills needed to work safely. We ensure effective communication and consultation for health, safety and welfare through our Health and Safety Committee, which meets regularly throughout the year.
All employees and sub-contractors are responsible for their own and others’ health and safety. Fusion expects that all personnel comply with company policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements and safe work systems. We also require that management are made aware of any hazards and dangerous situations at the earliest opportunity. Furthermore, all personnel must raise any health and safety concerns with their line managers. This approach helps us mitigate potential hazards, understand near-miss situations and take proactive action to help with any potential mental health concerns such as anxiety or depression.
Mike Fairey, Managing Director of Fusion Steel Framing, is responsible for ensuring the health and safety policy and performance are implemented and monitored, and policy and practices are effective throughout the business.
Health and Safety is at the foremost of our approach
